Try the new OBD and Bench solutions available for Flex.
Download the 7.2.0.0 version of Flex and program Continental/Vitesco EMS3140, EMS3141, EMS3160, EMS3161 and Continental/Vitesco SID321 engine units in Bench mode by accessing with the ECU connector and in OBD connecting directly to the diagnostic port of the vehicle*.
With these new protocols you can program the Flash memory and optimize engine parameters for you to get an efficient and performing driving style.
*If the vehicle is protected by SGW system, you will need the SGW Bypass (MMS03.001) cable for Flex and IXI Personal Flasher.
IXI Personal Flasher
The new OBD and Bench solutions are available on IXI Personal Flasher, too. Upgrade your software to the 1.8.0.0 version and program EMS314x, EMS316x and SID321 control units via the diagnostic port of the vehicle (for vehicles with no SGW system such as Renault Master) or with the new MMS03.001 cable (for vehicles protected by SGW like Renault Clio V).
MMS03.001 – SGW Bypass Universal Cable for IXI Personal Flasher and Flex
The new SGW bypass universal cable allows you to connect to vehicles equipped with SGW system in OBD and Bench.
Control units supported by the new MMS03.001 cable are:
- Continental/Vitesco EMS3140 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
- Continental/Vitesco EMS3141 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
- Continental/Vitesco EMS3160 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
- Continental/Vitesco EMS3161 – OBD (SGW Bypass), Bench
- Continental/Vitesco SID321 – Bench (For IXI only: the cable enables connection even without the vehicle)

OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Description:
The new SGW Bypass universal cable is necessary for identification, reading, and writing operations on Continental EMS314x and EMS316x engine units installed on Renault, Dacia, Nissan, and Mitsubishi vehicles: this cable allows programming without the need to remove the unit from the vehicle.
OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Connection procedure:
After connecting crocodile clips to the battery or a charger, and after finding CAN lines of the vehicle (follow the manual available in our softwares), you will need to connect the programmer to the female OBD port of the cable to proceed with programming.
Bench mode – Description:
The new SGW bypass universal cable allows you to program with Bench protocols connecting in Bench mode. Moreover, it will be possible to access the unit even if the vehicle is not in the workshop (since it is a bench connection, no SGW modules are present between the ECU and the programmer).
Bench mode – Connection procedure:
After connecting the crocodile clips to any charger, connect the pins to adapters included in the kit directly to the connector of the control unit, simply connect the programmer to the Female OBD port of the cable.
